On the September 30 episode of "AEW Dynamite," Will Ospreay and Ricochet fought in a match designed to pay tribute to their late friend Pac, a man who both Ospreay and Ricochet credited as being a major influence on them. On a night full of tributes and tears, it was Ospreay who dug deep into his bag of tricks and paid homage to Pac in a way only the AEW World Champion could, hitting Pac's iconic Black Arrow finishing move.Ospreay opened up about hitting the move during an appearance on "Speedball" Mike Bailey's video blog he recorded backstage at "Dynamite," stating that despite not hitting the move himself for nearly a decade, he felt like he simply had to do it."That was a tough one. I ain't done that in eight years is the last time I did it and I was ten kilos lighter, I don't know what that is in pounds. But that was one of the most difficult matches I've ever done in my life, and when it comes to myself and Trevor (Ricochet), obviously there is always hard feelings between us because egos always get in the way and you always want to be sitting on top of the throne and I know he wants this championship. But to be able to put our differences aside and do a great tribute to a very good friend of the pair of us, I wanted to do it right."Ospreay went on to say the one thing everyone mentioned in the build up to "Dynamite" was him and Ricochet would be the only people that could realistically hit the Black Arrow due to how difficult it was to pull off. However, he found a way to do it, and Bailey closed out the clip by calling the match a perfect tribute to Pac.Please credit the original source when using quotes from this article, and give a H/T to Wrestling Inc. for the transcription.
