Legendary professional wrestling commentator, and current voice in AEW, Jim Ross, underwent another brain surgery on Wednesday, which he revealed on X (formerly Twitter) Tuesday night. On Wednesday, Ross' "Grilling JR" co-host, Conrad Thompson, also took to social media to give an update on the star following the procedure."I just heard GREAT NEWS from @JRsBBQ's daughter: Procedure went well," Thompson posted on X. "He is in recovery right now. Will hopefully be heading home around 3."In his initial post, Ross said the brain surgery was meant to address an issue with his shunt. The WWE Hall of Famer underwent his first brain surgery to drain excessive fluid, via the inserted shunt, back in August.Following the August surgery, Ross said his goal was to work AEW All In London, which didn't come to fruition. He was also absent from AEW All Out: Chicago, and as of this writing, neither Ross or officials in AEW have commented on his status for WrestleDream, set for Orlando on October 17.Ross has been no stranger to health issues over recent years. He was hospitalized for an undisclosed medical condition back in June, and revealed in the days following Double or Nothing, where he commentated on a single match, that he had various health and travel struggles around the event. He confirmed at the beginning of August that his AEW contract was coming to an end that month, but has not offered any new update on his status with Tony Khan's company since.
