Former Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has been busy, promoting his new movie, "Street Fighter," as well as continuing to appear on "WWE SmackDown," where he recently failed to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match, thanks to Randy Orton. He's also been busy behind the scenes in the company, as he revealed what he called "breaking news" during a recent appearance on FLAGRANT."I just re-signed with WWE," Rhodes said. "I'll end my wrestling career with WWE, but my wrestling career with WWE might continue because we are now, I just spoke to the New York Times about this, and this was such a great moment to share this, we're now able to go do this stuff [movies, etc]. So say I do have another project, say I've got two other projects, whatever it may be. I'm able to take a step away, and I'm able to collaborate with WWE, and I'm able to come back home."Rhodes said that he used to have a number in mind when it came to wrestling retirement, but as he's grown more under the current regime in WWE, he's learned he could always step into a new role. He said he can't say when his "settle down" moment may be, but his parents, including his WWE Hall of Fame father, the late Dusty Rhodes, were always there for him when he needed them as a kid.He said that's what he wants for his two daughters, which means, in his words, he needs to get to work now. The "American Nightmare" returned to WWE, after leaving to help establish AEW, at WrestleMania 38 in 2022.If you use any quotes from this article, please credit FLAGRANT and provide a h/t to Wrestling Inc. for the transcription.
