20 female athletes, one shot at Kelani Jordan and the WWE NXT Women's Championship at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2026 on the line, and the only way for one of them to earn that shot was to send the other 19 women over the top rope in a number one contenders battle royal on the October 6 episode of "WWE NXT." After a match that saw stars from TNA, AAA, and EVOLVE, the suspended Wren Sinclair outsmarted them all to earn her shot at the gold. The eliminations started early as Layla Diggs was eliminated by Izzi Dame, who was then eliminated herself by Zaria. Reina Volcan was the woman to beat in the early stages, and established herself with dominance by dumping out Skylar Raye and Adelicious, before Chantel Monroe was eliminated in the commercial break. Coming out of the break, Arianna Grace ended up on the apron and was thrown to the floor, as were both members of TNA's Elegance Brand, Heather and M, after a miscommunication. It was time for Ivy Nile and Lizzy Rain to battle it out on the apron, and a diving headbutt from Rain saw Nile lose her balance and her spot in the match, before Rain directed traffic as everyone worked together to eliminate Volcan. However, Volcan wanted to leave an impression on everyone as she dragged AAA's Lady Shani to the outside and hit her with a Snap Powerslam, though she pulled her under the ropes, keeping her in the match.Nikkita Lyons was the next out, before Izzi Dame returned to try and get revenge on Zaria only to be thrown out again. With that said, Zaria was quickly eliminated by Kali Armstrong as Dame and Zaria brawled on the outside. Xia Brookside's night ended at the hands of Indi Hartwell, who herself was dragged out by Brookside ending her night too, though they will get their hands on each other at TNA Bound For Glory on October 11. Thea Hail and La Catalina couldn't get the job done, and neither could Kiana James, leaving Rain and Armstrong to fight it out on the apron with Armstrong getting the better of Rain.Armstrong thought she won and talked trash to Kelani Jordan who was watching the match from the perch in the WWE Performance Center, only for Lady Shani to return and dump Armstrong out to win the match. However, Shani surprisingly unmasked herself to reveal none other than the suspended Wren Sinclair, who was confirmed by Vic Joseph on commentary as the number one contender to Jordan's title.
