"Switchblade"Jay White was notably absent from the October 3 episode of "AEW Collision" as his fellow Bang Bang Gang brothers took on the Death Riders in a trios match, and the reason for that is the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion has another stint on the sidelines ahead of him. While The Bang Bang Gang were making their entrance on "Collision," Tony Schiavone on commentary announced that the reason why White wasn't present was that he has sustained an undisclosed injury that will keep him out of action for up to two months. The Tailgate Brawl match between The Bang Bang Gang and the combination of The Dogs and the Death Riders on the Tailgate Brawl portion of AEW All Out 2026 was reportedly were White suffered the injury, but there has been no confirmation as to what is wrong with him. White was present at the September 30 episode of "AEW Dynamite" where theAEW roster paid tribute to PAC following the Englishman's sudden passing, with White filming a tribute for the show where he opened up about how much he and everyone in AEW will miss the man they simply knew as Ben.It's safe to say that White hasn't had a lot of luck with injuries in recent years, with this new injury coming just three months after White made his return to AEW at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view at the end of June. Before that, White was out of action for 15 months after suffering a hand injury that required surgery, forcing him out of that year's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. During his time off, it was reported that he was also dealing with a shoulder injury that also needed rehabbing, which explained his extended absence. The year prior, White suffered an injury during the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament that led to him missing that year's AEW All In London event at Wembley Stadium, returning in October 2024 to feud with Hangman Adam Page.
