The September 30 episode of "AEW Dynamite" was a tribute to the late Benjamin "Pac" Satterley, who passed away three days earlier at the age of 40. Will Ospreay and Ricochet met one-on-one on "Dynamite," with Ospreay getting the win with Pac's lauded finisher, the Black Arrow. Both men dug deep into Pac's bag of tricks. Ricochet was able to hit his usual dives like the Shooting Star Press and Fosbury Flop, but he also landed a Phoenix Splash from the middle rope and a Shooting Star Pele Kick that Pac used to hit during his time in PWG and Dragon Gate. Ospreay landed a Poisonrana from the top rope and a Backslide Driver, the later a move Pac also used in Dragon Gate, while hitting a series of his own moves including the Hidden Blade which could have ended things. However, Ospreay decided to go one step further and pay tribute to Pac in the only way he could. He got to the top rope, took a breath, and hit Pac's finishing move, the Black Arrow, to get the victory. On commentary after the bell rang, Excalibur jokingly commented "It was good, but it wasn't as good as Ben's," which Tony Schiavone laughed at and agreed with. After the match, Ospreay and Ricochet shed some tears and embraced, as did the United Empire who were in Ospreay's corner and the Gates of Agony in Ricochet's, while the fans attendance applauded and chanted for Pac.
