The early thinking, per the source, was that McMillan could be sidelined for six to eight weeks.The Buccaneers on Wednesday also signed veteran quarterback Brett Rypien to their practice squad, giving the team another veteran backup with starter Baker Mayfield set to miss at least the next three weeks because of a dislocated right thumb. The Buccaneers also have quarterback Easton Stick on their practice squad.Undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels will take over as the starter beginning this week against the Green Bay Packers.McMillan suffered his injury colliding with Vikings safety Josh Metellus while attempting to catch a pass on a corner route. He doesn't have a catch this season in two games. He missed the Buccaneers' opener with his previous knee injury, which forced him to miss multiple weeks during training camp.The Buccaneers also signed safety Ifeatu Melifonwu to the 53-man roster from the practice squad Wednesday.
