The Bengals needed depth at wide receiver because of injuries to Andrei Iosivas, who is on injured reserve following thumb surgery, and rookie Colbie Young's left knee injury that will keep him out for at least one week.On Monday, Bengals coach Zac Taylor indicated that a move was imminent following the costly late-game turnover."I'm not at that decision today on what exactly that's going to look like, but that's a conversation we'll have," Taylor said post-game when asked about Williams' role moving forward. The two transactions also highlighted what was a notable training camp battle this summer.Williams made the team's initial 53-man roster over Tinsley, who had a breakout training camp in 2025 and spent all of last season with the Bengals. Williams started four of his 17 appearances and caught eight passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns.Tinsley was among the team's final cuts and was signed to the Houston Texans' practice squad.
