The IR move means he will miss at least three additional games, with the earliest he can return Oct. 25 against the Arizona Cardinals. It leaves the Broncos without the player who had been the back of choice in their game-clinching drive against the Jaguars. The fourth-round pick had 33 of his 39 rushing yards on the final possession when the Broncos ran out the final 4 minutes, 41 seconds of clock.J.K. Dobbins, who left last weekend's game in the third quarter with a hamstring injury, practiced fully Thursday and Friday and will be the primary back against the Rams. RJ Harvey, who missed the Jaguars game with a hamstring injury, also practiced fully to close out the week and will be available.Broncos coach Sean Payton would not expand on the seriousness of Coleman's injury Friday, but did say Dobbins and Harvey "had a good week'' and that the team would "be OK'' at running back. Tyler Badie had been the only running back on the active roster who had been a full participant in Wednesday's practice.Coleman had his first career touchdown on a 3-yard run against the Jaguars. He had received treatment on the injured ankle throughout the week and had been in uniform and on the practice field throughout the week, but did not take part in any team drills. The Broncos also signed long snapper Mitchell Fraboni from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday and elevated fullback Adam Prentice and wide receiver Kolbe Katsis from the practice squad to the roster for Sunday's game.Wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr, an All-Pro returner in 2024, is questionable for Sunday's game with a foot injury and Katsis was one of the team's more productive returners in training camp.
