Udinese have signed former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich defender David Alaba. Alaba, who was a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Madrid, has joined the Serie A club on a deal until the end of the season.The Austria international has won 10 Bundesliga titles, four Champions Leagues and two LaLiga titles in his illustrious career.But the 34-year-old now joins an Udinese team that has taken just four points from their first five Serie A games of the new season.Udinese, who finished 10th last season, will hope Alaba can help improve their fortunes as they target a second successive top-half finish for the first time since 2013.Signing David Alaba is a source of immense satisfaction for the entire club, GM Franco Collavino said in a statement.We are welcoming an established champion, a leader and an exemplary professional. Im still too ambitious for that, and I still strongly believe in what I can do on the pitch.I want to keep pushing, perform at the highest level in Serie A week in and week out, and achieve something meaningful.
