The Motor City Machine Guns are now AEW stars after departing WWE in the spring. Speaking on "Busted Open Radio," their former TNA rival Bully Ray (AKA Bubba Ray Dudley) gave Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin credit for their skills, and for playing an important role in his own career.Bully began by stating that it took a little bit of time for himself and D-Von Dudley to get on the same page as MCMG when they started working together. The two teams had different approaches to wrestling, but Bully affirmed that they created magic together once they were able to get on the same page."I personally chose the Machine Guns specifically Chris Sabin to be the first person to ever kick out of the 3D," Bully said. "Him kicking out of the finish and being the first one was obviously a big deal, but that's what led to me and D-Von going our separate ways."The rivalry with Team 3D began in the early days of the Motor City Machine Guns' TNA tenure, and once their feud reached a conclusion in 2010 with the moment Bully mentioned, it led to him turning on D-Von and creating the Bully Ray character."Loved working with them. Exciting tag team. I would've loved to see more from them in the WWE, but it's not easy to survive as a traditional tag team in the WWE, and I wish them well no matter where they wrestle on the planet.
