Alexander Isak says joining Liverpool from Newcastle last summer was an easy decision despite the difficult circumstances surrounding his transfer. The Sweden striker completed a British-record �125m move to Anfield on deadline day in September 2025 after missing pre-season.Isak had previously claimed promises made to him at Newcastle had been broken, but he insists he never regretted his decision to leave the club.Liverpool is a massive club, and everything about the club made it pretty clear, Isak told BBC Sport.And the clubs ambition and the clubs will to get me in as well. I had that period where I could play and gain rhythm and form.And, on top of that, it was a massive experience, so that was perfect to do and come back here for pre-season and to start the season.
