Steve Kerr has revealed a surprising new role for Warriors forward Draymond Green in 2026-27.Kerr says he wants Draymond to shoot more threes, despite him having an awkward 3PT stance it doesnt come naturally at all to the forward. We have to cut back on the turnovers, Kerr said on Tom Tilbert Show. I want him shooting the three when hes open. When he shoots a three, he may not be a super high percentage shooter, but possessions are good for us when he shoots because number one: its worth three. Number two: we get offensive rebounds. Number three: theres a flow to the game that has to happen that if someone is open and they shoot it, the game keeps moving.Kerr also revealed that he had recently spoken to Green about the changes.I went to his house maybe a month ago in LA, and we sat and had lunch and had a great conversation and talked about these things, Kerr added. He knows theres going to be some changes, and hes always going to be himself. And theres going to be good and bad that comes from that, and were okay with that, Kerr said. It doesnt mean were thrilled with every single thing he says, but I think my job is to try to help him be the best version of himself as a player, and sometimes that might include, Hey, maybe lets pull back on this thing or that thing. Yeah, and thats really hard. A hard thing to pull off with Dray because he is who he is.Last season, Draymond shot 32.6 percent from three and his over his career its 32.1 percent. So not the worst, but certainly not the best.It will be interesting to see how this new move pays off for the Warriors.READ MORE: Warriors Would Be First in Line For Devin Booker, Per Insider
