Kelani Jordan is riding a high right now following her NXT Women's Championship win at "NXT" Heatwave and main roster opportunity on "WWE Raw." Not everything went smoothly on her journey to get there, though.During a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, Jordan recalled facing a rather challenging period of time in between her reigns as NXT Women's North American and TNA Knockouts World Champion."It was somewhere in between that time I'm not really going for anything. I'm kind of just here," Jordan said. "I'm still trying to find myself. I was trying to find who the Kelani Jordan character is. Like who am I? I was just trying to figure things out. Also, even though I loved my North American reign, I had thought it was a huge crucial point in my career, I didn't realize like okay, I can't be the happy-to-be here girl. I have to change. I have to grow evolve. I have to show that grit, that killer instinct that everyone kept saying. Where is Kelani's killer instinct? You can't always be happy all the time. I get it. So I felt like that was the toughest moment in my career so far is just that in-between stage."Jordan became the inaugural NXT Women's NA Champion at the June 2024 "NXT" Battleground premium live event by outlasting five other women in a Ladder Match. This title run spanned over four months, later coming to an end at the hands of Fatal Influence's Fallon Henley at October's Halloween Havoc show.
