
PWInsider Elitehas provided an update onMustafa Ali. The International Champion is expected to return to TNA at the September 24 tapings in San Antonio, Texas. "Unless there is a major change, he will be involved in a top match for their live broadcasting that night," the report reads.Ali left TNA Lockdown with the International title along with fractured ribs and a punctured lung. He revealed his injuries from his hospital bed in a segment on the August 27 episode of "Impact" while talking to his Lockdown opponent, Jason Hotch. Due to his injuries, Ali admitted to Hotch that things may have gone too far and asked his former stablemate for a truce.At the time of the TV announcement, PWInsider Elite confirmed Ali's injury was real and expected him to be out until TNA's TV tapings this month. Ali also had to cancel two international appearances that were scheduled for this month because of the injuries.Over the weekend, Ali posted a video on social media with the caption "I almost died". In the video, Ali is lying in a hospital bed while a voiceover names his injuries and said his lung capacity is at 30 percent. Ali is seen in a chamber full of water with a breathing mask while clips from TNA plays. The video ends with the words "Mustafa Ali Returns 9.24.2026".
