EmailPrintOpen Extended ReactionsMETAIRIE, La. -- New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan (hamstring) will not play against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.Jordan, 37, was ruled out on Wednesday by Saints coach Kellen Moore after missing the last month of practice with an injured hamstring. Jordan last practiced on Aug. 6, but was not placed on injured reserve.Jordan will miss the third game of his career with an injury and the second due to injury. He missed the first game of his career in Week 14 of the 2021 season due to COVID-19 and the second in Week 11 of the 2022 after fracturing his orbital bone. Jordan returned the next week to play out the rest of the season and has not missed a game in the last three seasons."Cam's going to do everything possible to play ... he's progressing well. He's done a really good job through this recovery process, and we'll just take it week by week," Moore said.Saints running back Alvin Kamara (knee) returned to practice on Wednesday in a limited capacity. Kamara sprained his MCL during a joint practice against the Dallas Cowboys on Aug. 18 and was expected to be out at least a month at the time of his injury.Running back Kendre Miller also returned to practice after leaving practice early last week, while running back Audric Estime (thigh) did not practice.
