
EmailPrintOpen Extended ReactionsCINCINNATI -- Coach Zac Taylor indicated that Cincinnati Bengals star wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins should be ready for the season opener.Both Chase and Higgins are nursing injuries in the final days before the official start of the regular season. Chase is still dealing with a hyperextended left knee he suffered in a practice on Aug. 25, while Higgins is battling a bruised heel.They were not participating during the open portion of Tuesday's practice. However, Taylor said the issues shouldn't linger as the Bengals prepare to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sept. 13."He and Ja'Marr will be good at the end of the week," Taylor said.Chase has not missed a game because of injury since Week 16 of the 2023 season, when he battled a shoulder injury. Higgins played in 15 games last season. In other injury news, safety Bryan Cook is "ready to roll," according to Taylor, after battling a hamstring injury during the back end of training camp.Cornerback Dax Hill was slated to do individual drills on Tuesday as he returns from a soft-tissue injury. Defensive end Shemar Stewart, who suffered a hyperextended knee during the first practice of training camp, is considered week-to-week.
