Everton captain James Tarkowski hit a fine late goal as wasteful Everton salvaged a point at Bournemouth in the Premier League. Alex Scotts low shot late in the first half looked set to give Marco Rose his first win in charge of Bournemouth.But when the home side failed to deal with a deep corner, Tarkowski turned and lashed in low across goal to show his forwards how to finish.Thierno Barry could have had a hat-trick in the first half to go with the one he scored in the Carabao Cup in midweek but the Everton forward was far from clinical on the south coast.Djordje Petrovic made a fine one-handed save to deny Jarrad Branthwaite before also keeping out a low shot from Iliman Ndiaye.Petrovic then fumbled a shot at the feet of Barry in gusty conditions and the Everton targetman should have opened the scoring but hit his rebound straight at the keeper.In an end-to-end spell Rayan then fizzed a shot onto the roof of the net before the Cherries found the opener.Evanilson chased a lost cause down the right and twisted inside Tarkowski before teeing up Scott on the edge of the area. The England international took his time before firing in low and hard from the edge of the area.Barry had a great chance to level things up in the pouring rain but could only hit the side-netting after a driving run from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.Teenager Harrison Armstrong started for Everton despite being linked with a �40m move to Nottingham Forest and his superb run at the start of the second half led to another fine chance for Barry but Petrovic kept him out.Both sides had penalty claims waved away as Everton grew more and more desperate.They did not look like scoring but Tarkowski had other ideas with a cracking stoppage-time goal.
