Mohamed Salah scored his first goals for new club Trabzonspor, netting a brace in their 2-1 win over Istanbul Basaksehir. In that time, he endeared himself to the Reds faithful, netting more than 250 goals for the club and becoming their all-time leading Premier League goalscorer. He captained Egypt at the 2026 World Cup, where the African nation made history be reaching the Round of 16 for the very first time, narrowly falling 3-2 to eventual finalists Argentina in what was one of the games of the tournament.
