We will continue to support Ed and his family as we all grieve this tragic loss."The Bills had been aware of the incident since it occurred, and Oliver has participated in team activities throughout training camp. Oliver and the Bills were aligned with revealing what happened to his son at this time.On June 28, Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to an in-progress life-in-danger call. Upon arrival, deputies were told that the parents of a boy had found him unresponsive in the home's swimming pool, according to the sheriff's office.The child was taken by ambulance to a Houston hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:18 p.m.The sheriff office's did not name Oliver and did not respond to a recent request for an update on the investigation into the incident.Oliver was not with the Bills in Cleveland for their preseason game against the Browns as he's nursing a minor injury and the team made an early decision that most veteran starters would not play. Oliver, 28, has spent his entire career with the Bills organization. He was originally drafted ninth overall out of Houston. He also has a daughter, Ava.
