The Philadelphia 76ers have no shortage of star power heading into the new season, but Tyrese Maxey doesnt believe that means there needs to be a clear pecking order. With LeBron James, Joel Embiid and Jaylen Brown all sharing the floor alongside him, Maxey believes the Sixers success will come down to one thing more than anything else: leaving egos at the door.I think it depends on what the situation is, Maxey said in an interview with HoopsHype. I think we have the ultimate confidence in a lot of different guys. I think the biggest thing is that nobody on this team can have an ego. We have two guys who have won regular-season MVPs, two guys who have won Finals MVPs, multiple gold medal winners on this team, multiple 25-plus points per game, All-Stars, and All-NBA. Were all pretty accomplished. So the ego has to drop, and you have to do it collectively. It is a major point for a Philadelphia team that now has several players capable of taking over games.Maxey remains one of the franchises central pieces after another huge season. The 25-year-old averaged 28.3 points, 6.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 steals across 70 games while shooting 46.2 percent from the field, according to Fadeaway World.Brown also arrives with a championship pedigree after establishing himself as one of the leagues premier two-way wings in Boston, while Embiid remains one of the NBAs most dominant players when healthy. Then there is James. At 41, the four-time MVP may no longer need to carry the same offensive workload he once did, but his playmaking and basketball IQ still make him one of Philadelphias most important decision-makers.That leaves the Sixers with several players who could reasonably demand touches in big moments, and Maxey appears comfortable with that reality.Rather than naming himself, Embiid, Brown or James as the unquestioned No. 1 option, Maxeys message was clear: the situation should dictate who takes control. For a roster this accomplished, making that sacrifice could ultimately determine how far Philadelphia goes.READ MORE: Why Insiders Think Cameron Boozer Will Have More Impact Than No.1 & No.2 Picks
