
EmailPrintOpen Extended ReactionsEL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- Los Angeles Chargers center Tyler Biadasz was carted off the field with an apparent left leg injury during Tuesday's joint practice with the San Francisco 49ers.Biadasz went down after 49ers defensive tackle Sebastian Valdez fell into his leg during an 11-on-11 drill. Biadasz remained on the ground for nearly five minutes while being attended to by trainers before he was helped into a medical cart.Quarterback Justin Herbert and tight end Scott Matlock appeared to wish him well before he was driven off the field with his head down.Biadasz played for the Washington Commanders last season and signed with the Chargers in March. He was the biggest piece of an interior offensive line overhaul by general manager Joe Hortiz.With Biadasz out, rookie Jake Slaughter took reps at center. Slaughter, a second-round pick, played center at Florida, but the Chargers had primarily been using him at left guard during training camp.Biadasz, 28, started 31 games over the past two seasons for Washington before he was released in February in a cost-cutting move. The Dallas Cowboys selected Biadasz in the fourth round of the 2020 draft, and he started all 49 games he played for Dallas. He made his lone Pro Bowl following the 2022 season.
