Ben Simmons is attempting to work his way back into the NBA, and a reunion with former Philadelphia 76ers teammate JJ Redick could make the Los Angeles Lakers an interesting team to watch.The 30-year-old didnt play in the NBA last season but is taking part in an Australian mens national team minicamp in Melbourne as he looks to prove he can still contribute at the highest level.There already appears to be some NBA interest.Several NBA teams have expressed interest in Simmons, who is open to signing a minimum contract, according to sources, according to Marc Spears of ESPN. One source said he has a non-guaranteed offer on the table for minicamp with a Western Conference team.Simmons has not been identified as a Lakers target, and the Western Conference team behind the offer remains unknown.Still, Los Angeles presents an interesting possibility because of Simmons history with Redick.The pair spent two seasons together with the 76ers when Simmons was among the NBAs brightest young stars.
