The Warriors decision to largely stick with the same roster this offseason has raised some questions, especially with Stephen Curry now entering the later stages of his career.After Golden State was unable to land LeBron James, the pressure is arguably even greater for the team to put enough talent around its superstar.One person who would apparently like to see Curry take a different route to his current Warriors one is his former teammate, DAngelo Russell.Russell suggested that Boston could be an ideal destination if Curry ever decided to chase another championship elsewhere.I would love to see Stephen Curry go to Boston, said Russell on The Backyard Podcast. Yeah, I would love to see that. I just think he needs that type of help around him now. Whos taking the load off him in Golden State? The rookie? Healthy Jimmy (Butler)?This comes after the Celtics were rumored to be interested in Curry at the start of August,Boston has the kind of experienced roster that could potentially take some of the pressure off Curry and give him another legitimate opportunity to compete for a championship.Russell believes that veteran experience could be especially valuable when games get tight.I think you have a veteran team thats going to know how to win the last three minutes of a game, Russell continued. Theyre going to know how to win. Curry was outstanding against Boston during the 2022 NBA Finals, helping Golden State secure another championship.For now, though, the expectation is that Curry will remain in Golden State and attempt to finish his career with the Warriors.
