Nottingham Forest have confirmed the appointment of Oliver Glasner as head coach following the dismissal of Vitor Pereira. Pereira was sacked on Thursday despite masterminding Forests escape from relegation last season and guiding them to the semi-finals of the Europa League.The Portuguese was the clubs fourth head coach of a turbulent season but did not do enough to appease volatile owner Evangelos MarinakisInstead, Forest have turned to Glasner, who left Crystal Palace last month after two hugely successful seasons in charge at Selhurst Park, during which he led the Eagles to the FA Cup and Conference League titles.Marinakis told the clubs official website: In our discussions with Oliver, it was clear that we share the same vision, the same ambition and the same relentless desire to succeed. He has consistently demonstrated throughout his career that he can build outstanding teams and deliver success against the strongest competition.It has always been our goal to establish Nottingham Forest once again among the leading clubs in England and Europe.
