
Christian Eriksen suffered another collapse on the pitch on Sunday afternoon, but thankfully the Dane was able to walk off the pitch with his team-mates as the match was abandoned.The 34-year-old clutched his chest and fell to the ground in the second half of Denmarks friendly against Ukraine in Odense.Players from both teams immediately formed a huddle around him while medics rushed to treat him.Denmarks national team doctor Morten Boesen confirmed that Eriksen was briefly unconscious but regained consciousness quickly. The Danish Football Union subsequently issued a statement confirming he was conscious and doing well under the circumstances. He was taken to hospital for further checks. Eriksen received treatment on the pitch for approximately 13 minutes before getting back to his feet, at which point the crowd inside Nature Energy Park gave him a standing ovation. Norwegian referee Sigurd Smehus Kringstad called the game off in the 79th minute.
