
Serena Williams has added a second tournament to her schedule as she makes a comeback to professional tennis.It was announced on Monday that Williams, who stepped away from tennis following the 2022 US Open, would take part in the doubles at the HSBC Championships at Queens Club next week.Reports that the 23-time grand slam singles champion will partner with Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko have since been confirmed.And Williams plans for the week after Queens are now known, with the 44-year-old set to head to Germany for the Berlin Tennis Open, where she will again contest the doubles.In an announcement on the tournaments website, Williams said: Every tournament I add to my schedule right now feels special, and Berlin is no exception. Im excited to compete in front of the German fans and continue building momentum throughout the grass-court season.Confirmation of Williams playing in Berlin will only increase talk of her competing at Wimbledon, where she is a seven-time singles champion. She has also won six womens doubles titles and one mixed doubles title at the All England Club.Wild cards for Wimbledon will be announced the week commencing June 15.
