AEW isnt wasting any time getting things started on the April 29 episode of Dynamite, and Tony Khan has now confirmed exactly how the show will kick off. With several championship matches already lined up for the night, Khan revealed during an appearance on the Battleground Podcast that the TNT Championship match between Kevin Knight and MJF will open the show. That decision puts major stakes right at the start of the broadcast as AEW continues building toward Double or Nothing. While speaking about the stacked lineup, Khan confirmed the opening match and made it clear that the TNT Title bout will be the first thing fans see when Dynamite goes live. After talking about the strength of the card, Khan spelled out exactly how the show will begin and praised Kevin Knights rise inside AEW. Opening the show with MJF challenging Kevin Knight could have big consequences. MJF has made it clear he still wants another shot at Darby Allin and the AEW World Championship. The April 29 Dynamite lineup is already loaded. Darby Allin is set to defend the AEW World Championship against Brody King, while Kazuchika Okada will defend the AEW International Championship against Ace Austin. The AEW Womens World Tag Team Titles will also be on the line as Divine Dominion faces Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander. Jamie Hayter is also scheduled to return to action alongside Alex Windsor after being cleared to compete, and Rush is expected to appear after his recent performance on Collision. Christian Cage and Adam Copeland will also team up to face Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta. With the TNT Championship match now confirmed as the opening bout, AEW appears ready to start the night fast and keep the pressure on from the very first bell.
