The Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, was packed with fans for the April 24 episode of WWE SmackDown. This show also came right after the latest crop of WWE releases broke. As part of this years post-WrestleMania releases, WWE cut the entire Wyatt Sicks faction. Bo Dallas, who was Uncle Howdy, Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, and Erick Rowan were all let go. During SmackDown this week, WWE fans decided to let the company know that they havent forgotten about the stable that was born out of Bray Wyatts vision. They lit up the arena with fireflies in protest. Rhea Ripley and Jacy Jayne had a singles match on SmackDown this week. That went down after Fatal Influence crashed Rhea Ripleys WrestleMania celebration promo. During their match, fireflies started appearing all over the Dickies Arena as fans showed what they thought about the releases with the flashlights on their smartphones. The company did the best they could to capture different camera angles to avoid the fireflies. Then they cut to a commercial break, so the action was in picture-in-picture. By the time the show came back from commercial, many of the fireflies had gone away. However, it was apparent that they really wanted to send a message to the company. We will have to see if WWE sees any more pushback after the Wyatt Sicks releases. Fans in Fort Worth, Texas, certainly sent their message. Whats your take on the recent releases?
