The fallout from Sol Rucas brutal NXT Revenge spot is still being felt and now Booker T is speaking out after witnessing it up close. After Ruca suffered a nasty head injury during her Last Woman Standing match with Zaria a spot that saw her miss a table and hit the back of her head concern was immediate. Now Booker T, who witnessed it live, is making it clear where the responsibility lies. Speaking to Sports Illustrated on April 24, 2026, Booker T first described just how bad the moment looked from his vantage point calling it one of the most dangerous bumps hes seen in a long time. Instead of pointing at Sol Ruca, Booker T actually shifted the focus straight to the people putting matches together, saying moments like that should never fall on the performer. The WWE Hall of Famer then spelled out the reality of how dangerous wrestling can be, stressing how little it takes for things to go wrong. Booker didnt stop there. He made it clear that changes need to come from management and production especially with someone like Ruca right on the verge of a bigger opportunity. This obviously moves the focus from the moment itself to how those kinds of risks are handled moving forward especially as Rucas momentum continues to build following her recent Raw call-up and interactions with Liv Morgan. With Booker T calling for accountability behind the scenes, the focus is now on how WWE manages high-risk spots and whether changes will come after such a close call. Do you agree with Booker T that this is on WWE producers and not the talent, or do you think wrestlers should also take responsibility for spots like that? Let us know your thoughts.
