The April 17 episode of WWE SmackDown was the go-home show before WrestleMania. Sami Zayn is rolling into the show of shows as United States Champion, but he will have quite a challenger. Trick Williams is really feeling himself, especially since his main roster call-up. This week on SmackDown, he had one more chance to take a dig at Sami Zayn prior to their WrestleMania encounter. Although Trick Williams usually makes jokes in the ring, he was serious this week. Then he showed how Sami Zayn crossed the line last week as he hit Little Yachty with a Helluva Kick. With that kick, Sami hurt Trick Williams WrestleMania entrance. Then Trick Williams called for the gingerbread man to come out, and then a big man in a mascot costume came out to Sami Zayns entrance. Trick introduced the gingerbread man as Sami Zayn, then he started cutting a promo on the mascot. Sami Zayn himself came out to say how funny the segment is. He is also glad to see how seriously Trick Williams is taking his first WrestleMania. Sami got in the ring, and fans chanted that they wanted Melo. Then Sami told the gingerbread man to stand in the corner as he cut a promo on Trick about how he hasnt proven himself in the ring. Fans didnt respond to Sami Zayn very well, especially when he called Trick Williams a punk rookie. Trick Williams responded to say that hes the one who will get the job done, and fans were all behind him with whoop that Trick chants. This promo became a brawl, and Trick Williams got the upperhand. Then Sami Zayn sent him to the outside, but the gingerbread man stuck around. Then the gingerbread man ate a Helluva Kick in the corner. Suddenly, Williams jumped back in the ring and nailed a Trick Shot as the segment ended with Trick raising the title above his head.
