During the April 8 tapings for the April 11 episode of AEW Collision at Rogers Place, a major title change went down, with new champions crowned in a multi-team match. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, The DogsGabe Kidd, David Finlay, and Clark Connorscaptured the AEW Trios Titles during the taping, marking their first championship win in AEW. The match saw The Dogs defeat JetSpeed (Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight) and Mistico in a three-way bout that had only just been announced days earlier on AEW Dynamite, making the result even more unexpected. JetSpeed and Misticos run with the titles ends at just 27 days, cutting short what was shaping up to be a developing reign in the division. With the belts now in new hands, AEWs Trios scene just got a major shake-up heading into the coming weeksand fans will see it all play out when Collision airs on April 11.
