AEW Dynamite Results (4/8/2026): Live Match Updates and Highlights The show opens up with Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Bryan Danielson welcoming us before we see Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay brawling in the parking lot. The Death Riders then find the pair and beat down Ospreay, but Alex Windsor and United Empire members Francesco Akira, Henare and Callum Newman pull up in a car to provide Ospreay with backup. The two groups then begin brawling with one another, with Marina Shafir and Windsor brawling into the ringside area. Ospreay and Moxley then follow, with Moxley and Daniel Garcia delivering some stomps on Ospreay in the ring. Henare then clotheslines Garcia over the top rope as Moxley cinches in a sleeper on Ospreay, but Ospreay fights his way out of things. Ospreay then challenges The Death Riders to an 8-Man Chaos In Canada Match on behalf of the United Empire. Don Callis then cuts a promo and says Kyle Fletchers injury threw a wrench in the plans. Callis then says he was planning to make Kyle Fletcher the longest-reigning AEW TNT Champion. Callis then says he wanted to fix a match involving the Young Bucks at AEW Dynasty, but that has also been canceled. Callis then says despite Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita not getting along, he runs the Don Callis family like a professional sports franchise and he actually likes the fact that they dont get along. Callis then says following Kyle Fletcher vacating the TNT Title he made a match featuring Takeshita, Mark Davis and Andrade against Jungle Boy, Brody King and Darby Allin. Darby Allin, Jack Perry and Bandido (who is replacing Brody King as he attends to a personal matter) then make their way down to the ring for the first match of the night and The Don Callis Family follows. Trios Match: Jurassic Express AEW National Champion Jungle Boy Jack Perry, ROH World Champion Bandido and Darby Allin vs. Don Callis Family (Andrade El Idolo, Mark Davis and NJPW World Television Champion The Alpha Konosuke Takeshita) The match starts off with Andrade El Idolo and Darby Allin and Andrade tags out to Takeshita. Allin then grabs a microphone and calls MJF to the ring, asking why hes Don Callis b****. Andrade then dares Allin to come at him, but Konosuke Takeshita hits Allin with two rolling German suplexes. Davis then steps over Allin at the bottom of the entrance ramp, but Perry hits a moonsault off the ropes to level Takeshita and Davis as Don Callis joins the commentary desk. Perry then looks to fly off the ropes, but Takeshita nails him with a strike mid-air. He then sends Perry out of the ring as Andrade takes a selfie with a female fan. Bandido then tags in and he hits Takeshita with a pump kick. He then delivers some strikes on Davis and bodyslams Davis on top of Takeshita and nails Takeshita with a boot to the side of his face. Takeshita then hits Bandido with a Blue Thunder Bomb and pins him, but Bandido kicks out. Davis then tags in and spits in Allins face, but Bandido hits a hurricanrana to Davis and pins him. Davis then kicks out and Perry hits an interfering Takeshita with a poisonrana. Andrade then trips Perry as he runs the ropes, but Allin flies out of the ring to take down Andrade. Takeshita and Davis then swing Allin into a pile of chairs in the timekeepers area, but Andrade tags in and hits The Message to Perry before pinning him for the win. The winners of the Trios Match, Don Callis Family (Andrade El Idolo, Mark Davis and NJPW World Television Champion The Alpha Konosuke Takeshita)! After the match, Andrade stares down Allin in the ring. Allin then shoves Andrade, but Andrade low blows Allin as Takeshita and Davis take a few shots at Bandido and Perry. Callis then rakes Perrys eyes, but The Young Bucks music hits and they run down to the ring. Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson then deliver right hands on Takeshita and Davis, but Kazuchika Okada and Lance Archer join their fellow Don Callis Family members. The Rascalz then make their way to the ring to take out The Don Callis Family, but Myron Reed flies over the top rope to take out Okada on the outside. We then head to the back, where Lexy Nair is speaking with Doc Sampson and he gives an update on Kenny Omega before he faces MJF for the AEW World Title at Dynasty this weekend. Doc Sampson says Omega is fine, but he is worried that MJF has gotten into his head too much. Queen Aminata then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Willow Nightingale follows. AEW TBS Championship Match: Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Queen Aminata The match starts off with Nightingale doing a little dance as she wants a handshake. Aminata then kicks Nightingale and she tries to pin her for only a two count. Aminata is then sent to the floor and she goes to the outside. Both women then exchange blows. Hikaru Shida is then shown looking on from the stands. Nightingale then sends Aminata into the guardrail. Nightingale then rolls Aminata back in the ring. Nightingale then hits standing lariats on Aminata and covers her for only a two count. Aminata then sends Nightingale down and runs the ropes, hitting a big running kick. Aminata then covers Nightingale for only a two count. Nightingale then hits Aminata with a dropkick off the middle rope and follows it up with a Death Valley Driver to her. She then goes for a pin, but Aminata kicks out. Nightingale then climbs to the top rope and looks to hit a moonsault on Aminata, but Aminata moves out of the way and hits a forearm on Nightingale. Aminata then hits a double chop on Nightingale, but Nightingale delivers a backslide to her. Aminata then kicks out and she hits an Air Raid Crash on Nightingale and goes for a pin, but Nightingale kicks out. Nightingale then intercepts Aminata with a big boot and sends her crashing out of the ring under the bottom rope and hits a Doctor Bomb on Aminata for the win. The winner and still the AEW TBS Champion, Willow Nightingale! After the match, Nightingale shakes Aminatas hand. We then see a promo hyping AEW World Champion MJF up. Chris Jerichos music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Jericho then plays to the crowd and he grabs a mic. Jericho says he has a huge announcement to make. Jericho then says he will signing his new AEW contract. Jericho then says hes taken a lot of risks, including signing with AEW in 2019. Jericho then says hes so proud of how big the company has become. Jericho then says hes excited to continue to build the company that he helped start. Jericho then says a lot of risks in his career have paid off. Jericho then says he admits that not all has paid off as he has had stinkers, but its all been for the right reasons because he loves wrestling. Jericho then says his big appearance change and getting into shape is because of his respect for pro wrestling. Jericho then says he doesnt care about whether hes in the opening match or main event as he loves AEW and pro wrestling. Jericho is about to sign his contract, but he is interrupted by Ricochet and The Demand. Ricochet says Canada sucks. Ricochet then says if they wanted to hurt him, Bishop Kaun would have done it already. Ricochet then says he wants Jericho to do him a favor. Ricochet then says just dont. Ricochet then says dont sign the contract and dont come back. Ricochet then asks why he would even want to when hes been out of action for a year. He then credits Jerichos abs to his singing. Ricochet then admits that AEW wouldnt have had the monumental rise if it werent for Jericho. Ricochet then says but right now he is the man. Ricochet then takes credits for the rise in attendance and ratings. Ricochet then says he actually respects Jericho, which is why he tells him that nobody wants him there. Ricochet then tells Jericho to do everybody a favor and get out of his ring, get into his cruise ship and never come back. Jericho then takes a shot at Ricochet being bald and says he doesnt give a s**t what he thinks. He then reveals a clause in his contract and that is that he can choose to face whoever he wants. Jericho then says Ricochet just made the list and their match at AEW Dynasty is official. We then head to the back, where Don Callis says that The Young Bucks vs. Takeshita and Okada is confirmed for AEW Dynasty. Neither man wants to team up with the other, but Takeshita says he wants the title that Okada has. Don Callis then says he wants a Michael Jordan-Scottie Pippen dynamic. He then tells them to work together for one night and they can settle their differences for the title. Okada and Takeshita then shake hands, but Okada says hes Jordan and Takeshita is Pippen. They then almost fight, but the rest of the family stops them. Tommaso Ciampa then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Mscara Dorada follows. Singles Match (Winner will enter the Casino Gauntlet Match at #1): The Psycho Killer Tommaso Ciampa vs. CMLL Trios Champion Mscara Dorada) The match starts off with Ciampa having the arm of Dorada as he takes down Ciampa. Ciampa is up and he tries to take off the mask of Dorada. Dorada then fights back. Ciampa then goes for a roll up, but Ciampa moves. Dorada then sends Ciampa to the floor. He then looks at the TNT title at the announce desk. Ciampa then walks up the steel steps. He then kicks Dorada, who fires back with kicks of his own. Dorada then runs the ropes, but Ciampa moves. Dorada then sends Ciampa down and hits a thrust kick. Dorada is then hit with a knee strike by Ciampa. Dorada then fires back as Ciampa is sent to the floor. Dorada then leaps over the top rope and hits Ciampa on the floor. Dorada then comes off the top and takes down Ciampa. Ciampa then goes to the outside. Dorada then hits a big kick on Ciampa. Dorada then comes off the top of the ring post, landing on Ciampa on the floor. Ciampa is back in the ring. Dorada then hits a big 450 splash on Ciampa and covers him for only a two count. Ciampa then picks up Dorada, but he escapes and takes down Ciampa with a leg lariat. Ciampa then fires back with a low drop kick and drops Dorada on his knees. Ciampa then covers Dorada for only a two count. Both men are up on the ropes. Dorada then kicks Ciampa and has him on his shoulders and hits a huge neck breaker. Dorada then covers Ciampa for only a two count. Dorada is up and comes down, but hits some boots to the face. Ciampa then DDTs Dorada and hits a big running knee for the win. The winner of the Singles Match and the #1 Entrant in the Casino Gauntlet Match, The Psycho Killer Tommaso Ciampa! We then head to the back, where we see David Finlay and Clark Connors attacking Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong. Gabe Kidd says The Conglomeration has no one left and The Dogs put Mstico and JetSpeed on notice as they warn them that theyre coming for their AEW World Trios Championship at Collision. We then see Thekla being interviewed by Lexy Nair. Thekla says she is sick of being reminded that Jamie Hayter, her Dynasty opponent, is a former World Champion. She then says things have changed since Jamie rule the kingdom and reminded her that she was the first one she took out when she arrived in AEW. She then called Jamie Hayter a dumb b***h and that she will make her the dumbest b***h alive. Adam Copeland and Christian Cage then make their way down to the ring. Copeland starts off by saying jealousy and pettiness is what blew up his relationship with FTR and Dax Harwood and Cash Wheelers feeling that they were his henchmen is reality hitting them. He then says himself and Cage will take their place on top of the mountain as the new AEW World Tag Team Champions. Cage then tells FTR to sit down and shut their mouths as he conducts his business. Cage then says Harwood and Wheeler have been busy upsetting him, Copeland and the entire country of Canada. He then says he visited both Harwood and Wheelers mothers in an intimate fashion and says hell do the same with Stokelys mother, but after he becomes one half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions. Harwood, Wheeler and Stokely then make their way to the ring. Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero then attack Copeland and Cage from behind in the ring, but Cage sets up for Killswitch on Wheeler. Wheeler then sends Cage crashing into Stokely, who hits Cage with the AEW World Tag Team Championship. Romero then holds a chair in place for Beretta to hit a running knee on Copeland, but Harwood slides Cages arm into a chair. Stokely then decides to steal Cages watch and Wheeler flies off the middle apron to stomp on Cages arm. We then head ti the back, where Darby Allin cuts a promo and he says it isnt that he doesnt care at all. Allin then says he cares way too much. Allin then says he puts up walls and facades. Allin then says he admits hes scared that he cant win the big one. Allin then says hes afraid he cant be the face of this company because for that and he needs to be a World Champion. Allin then warns Andrade, stating that he has no idea what gotten into him. Allin then says regardless of whether its Kenny Omega or MJF, he is enough and he needs this. Allin then says he needs this more than anybody can ever imagine. United Empire and Will Ospreay then make their way down to the ring for the main event of the night and The Death Riders follow. 8-Man Tag Team Chaos In Canada Match: United Empire (Callum Newman, Francesco Akira, Henare and Will Ospreay) vs. The Death Riders (AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley, The Bastard PAC, Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli) The match starts off with Jon Moxley brawling with Henare through the crowd. Ospreay then sends Moxley into the ringside area as Francesco Akira, Callum Newman and Henare brawl with Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia and PAC. Castagnoli then brawls up the entrance ramp with Newman and sends him crashing into his knee with a Gorilla Press. Alex Windsor then takes out Marina Shafir, who had accompanied her Death Riders stablemates to the ring. A ladder is then set up in the ring and Akira hits a crossbody off the ladder and over the top rope to take out Castagnoli, PAC and Garcia on the outside. Ospreay then sets up a table as Newman taps on the ring steps next to them. Ospreay and Newman then drag Moxley up the ring steps, but Castagnoli comes to Moxleys aid and sends Newman crashing into the barricade with a Gorilla Press. He then hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker on Ospreay as Ospreay looks to fly off the ring steps. Moxley then chokes Henare on the outside as Castagnoli sends Newman into the corner and Garcia hits a clothesline to him. Castagnoli, Garcia and PAC then take turns delivering clotheslines and uppercuts on Newman in the corner as Moxley wears down Ospreay on the outside. He then bites Ospreays ear and Garcia stands on Ospreays spine to continue wearing him down. He then chokes Ospreay with the shirt that he was wearing. The Death Riders then take turns delivering clotheslines and uppercuts on Henare in the corner of the ring, but Henare drags Garcia up on the ring steps. Castagnoli then comes to Garcias aid and sends Henare crashing through another table that had been set up on the outside. Ospreay is getting busted open now. Moxley then hits piledriver on Ospreay, possibly re-injuring his neck. He then starts smashing his head from behind. Henare then hits an uppercut on Moxley, but Castagnoli takes him out again. Newman then comes in to take Castagnoli out, but PAC gets the better of him. Akira then gets the better of PAC before Garcia gets the better of Akira. Moxley and Ospreay are at it again, but Garcia looks for the Dragon Tamer. Moxley then hits a curb stomp on Ospreay. Akira and Moxley then battle a clear size difference, but Moxley wipes him out. Newman is brawling back-and-forth with Moxley. Newman then hits an elbow strike and Ospreay gets Garcia. He then hits a double cutter onto both men and its a double kick out. The Death Riders are then sent through the table, but Akira doesnt land all of it. Moxley is back and hes looking to end Ospreays career permanently. Ospreay then pours his entire body into Moxley and sends him through the table for the win. The winners of the 8-Man Tag Team Chaos In Canada Match, United Empire (Callum Newman, Francesco Akira, Henare and Will Ospreay)! After the match, Ospreay picks up Moxley, but Castagnoli runs in and pulls Moxley out of harms way. We then get a video package highlighting Kenny Omega. Kenny Omegas music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Omega then grabs a mic and starts off by saying he liked having some sympathy about his health and it was nice, but it got old every week. Omega then says that isnt what made him mad. Omega then says AEW used to be just a concept, wheremaybepeople wrestle andmaybethat will be something different. Omega then says at the end of the day, its MJFs mouth that makes him famous. Omega then says what MJF can do, he can do better. Omega then says what MJF cant do is rewriting his history and legacy all the time and thats why he is the GOD of wrestling. Omega then roasts MJF for not being able to tell stories in the ring the way he can. Omega then says he thought the responsibility was all on him. Omega then says he was wrong because it wasnt his responsibility or legacy, its everyones collective legacy. Omega then says he isnt the same guy since diverticulitis, but now its about keeping his career intact and his weaknesses are now his strengths. MJF then comes out and scoffs at the idea that Omega is better than him. MJF then says it will be his final AEW World Title match. MJF then brought up the excuse Omega gave for losing the World Title to him, stating that the being at 75% line wont work this time. MJF then says Omega will find out that hes not on the level of the devil. MJF then says the fans god will fall and the devil will rise and sit on top of the throne, where only he belongs. MJF then says hes better than Omega and he knows it. Omega then offers to let bygones be bygones and shake his hand before their legendary main event. MJF then throws the mic down and teases shaking his hand before attempting a shot. Omega was ready and he hits the V-Trigger. Omega then says MJF is predictable. Omega then grabs the Dynamite diamond ring. He then says at the end of the PPV. Omega then does his goodnight promo. Omega then takes of the ring and drops it on MJF. Omega then leaves the ring as the show comes to a close.
