During an interview with GamesHub, Jericho detailed a scrapped creative pitch involving Bray Wyatt, Shawn Michaels, and The Wyatt Family a storyline he believed was strong enough to lead into SummerSlam. The idea? Wyatts group would attack Jericho, forcing him to call on Michaels a former rival as the only person unpredictable enough to have his back. The angle would build tension around whether Michaels could be trusted, before both men were ultimately targeted, setting up a major tag match. But before the pitch even had a chance, Jericho says the situation inside Vince McMahons office was already working against him and food played a huge role. Jericho went through the entire storyline, laying out what he described as a complete and well-structured pitch. But McMahons reaction had nothing to do with Wyatt, Michaels, or the story itself it came down to the steak he was eating. The story shows how unpredictable WWEs creative process could be behind closed doors, something also echoed in past comments from Mr. Kennedy about how quickly ideas could fall apart once you stepped into McMahons office. In this case, though, it wasnt debate or pushback that killed the angle it was timing, distraction and a steak.
