Marc Mero is making a strong push for Sable to get her WWE Hall of Fame moment and hes backing it up with a very specific argument about her impact. During a recent appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Mero reflected on his time in WWE and his relationship with Sable, including how he once negotiated with Vince McMahon just to ensure she could travel with him. Despite their divorce, he made it clear theres still respect there and he believes her contributions to WWE deserve recognition. When asked directly if Sable belongs in the Hall of Fame, Mero didnt hesitate: Oh, absolutely. He didnt leave it at that either Mero explained that Sables importance goes beyond just being part of the roster, especially during a time when the womens division wasnt fully established: The womens division, they didnt really have a womens division so much back then at all. From there, he pointed to what he believes is the biggest factor her ability to draw attention and boost business: But she brought eyes to the channels. The ratings and everything were very high because of her. Thats the core of Meros argument Sable wasnt just a personality, she was a ratings driver during one of WWEs most competitive eras. The conversation then shifted toward Meros own career, where he took a much more honest and grounded stance about his Hall of Fame chances. When asked if he sees himself as Hall of Fame worthy based on his WWE run, he didnt try to oversell it: You know what? If you want to look at my WWF stint, no. However, he did point out a different part of his career where he feels his work had more impact: But if you want to look at things Ive done with WCW as Johnny B. Badd, they were very entertaining. Later in the interview, the topic of the Warrior Award came up a category that recognizes contributions outside the ring and Mero was more open to that possibility: Something like that would be wonderful. And if that moment ever happens, he already has someone in mind to stand beside him: If I ever did, DDP would be the guy to induct me. So, Marc Mero isnt campaigning for his own legacy here, hes shining the limelight on Sable. And based on his comments, he believes her impact on WWE especially in terms of attention and ratings makes her more than worthy of a Hall of Fame spot.
