Tessa Blanchard is back in the limelight again but this time, its another wrestler questioning whether shes truly changed. During an appearance on the Monte and Pharaoh show, wrestler Chrissy Rivera was asked point-blank whether Blanchard deserves a second chance in wrestling. She didnt hesitate, immediately shutting the idea down before even getting into the reasoning: No. That quick response wasnt just for shock value Rivera followed it up by explaining that, in her view, the issue isnt mistakes, its whether those mistakes have actually been owned up to. She then shifted into what she believes is the bigger problem, suggesting that Blanchards situation isnt just about the past its about a pattern that continues to follow her. To avoid any misunderstanding, Rivera made it clear shes not speaking from a bad personal encounter. In fact, she went out of her way to explain that her own experience working with Blanchard was completely professional. But even with that neutral experience, Rivera still believes theres a gap between Blanchards ability and where she currently stands in her career and she thinks maturity plays a big role in that: But I think she has a lot of growing up to do, and thats whats holding her back. She didnt question Blanchards talent at all. In fact, she made it clear that ability isnt the issue its everything around it. Rivera made sure to frame her comments as constructive rather than personal, saying she still wants to see Blanchard succeed just not under the current circumstances. Riveras comments more fuel to the ongoing conversation surrounding Blanchard, who has continued to face scrutiny over racism allegations and her attempts to move forward in the wrestling world. Bottom line this wasnt a rant, it was a direct assessment. Chrissy Rivera sees the potential, but she doesnt believe the personal growth has caught up to it yet.
