CM Punk didnt take Roman Reigns calling him old lightly and the response came in the form of a punch. The March 16, 2026 episode of WWE Raw from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio closed with a tense confrontation between the two WrestleMania opponents. Roman Reigns came to the ring to address Punk after weeks of escalating tension between them. Fans loudly chanted for the OTC as Reigns soaked in the moment before turning his attention to Punk. Reigns made it clear that he considers himself the centerpiece of WWE and invited Punk to come out so they could settle things face-to-face. CM Punk answered the call. Once Punk entered the ring, the two immediately began trading insults as the crowd reacted to every line. Thats when the moment took a turn. Roman dismissed Punk completely and mocked him for his age, saying the championship around his waist was embarrassing because Punk is old. That comment was enough. Without warning, Punk stepped forward and dropped Roman Reigns with a punch that sent The Tribal Chief down to the mat. The hit shocked the crowd and instantly brought WWE officials rushing into the ring. Security quickly pulled Punk away before the situation could explode into a full fight, but the damage had already been done. Reigns remained in the ring smiling while Punk continued shouting as he was escorted away.
