WWE Womens Champion Jade Cargill says the reason she chose a career in professional wrestling is simple she loves proving people wrong. While speaking with Hawks AF, Jade Cargill opened up about what drew her to the wrestling business in the first place. According to Cargill, shes always been motivated by challenges, especially when people doubt what shes capable of doing. Instead of being discouraged by criticism, Cargill said hearing someone say she cant accomplish something only pushes her harder. That mindset, she explained, played a major role in why she decided to pursue a career in professional wrestling: I love when people tell me I cant do this or that because it just pushes me more. Cargill also admitted that while the challenge is part of the appeal, the physical side of wrestling can be extremely demanding. To explain that point, she recalled a brutal injury she suffered on live television back in October when her brow was completely split open. The injury happened when she collided with the steel steps during a match, causing a deep cut that quickly began pouring blood: I hit some steps and it split open on live TV, and it was extremely bad. According to Cargill, the adrenaline of performing kept her from realizing how serious the situation actually was until moments later. She explained that the moment she realized something was wrong came when she was about to climb onto the announcers table and celebrate. Thats when Cargill noticed that the entire arena had already seen the gruesome injury before she did. Once she looked down and saw the amount of blood, the seriousness of the situation became impossible to ignore. Even with moments like that, Cargill made it clear that the challenge and intensity of pro wrestling are exactly what attracted her to the industry in the first place.
