Oba Femi is settling into life on WWEs main roster and believes his transition has gone exactly according to plan. After making the jump from WWE NXT to WWE SmackDown earlier this year, Femi recently spoke with TVInsider about how he has adjusted to performing on a much bigger stage. While the move has meant more travel compared to his time in NXT, the rising WWE star said the larger crowds and arenas have made the change worth it. Femi said the response from fans has been immediate, and he believes his dominant persona has translated naturally to WWEs global stage. Since debuting in the 2026 Mens Royal Rumble, Femi has quickly started building momentum on SmackDown. The powerhouse has already scored televised wins against several recognizable names, including The Miz, Johnny Gargano, and Kit Wilson, helping establish him as a rising force on the blue brand. Femi also addressed whether any veteran WWE stars have taken on a mentor role since he started traveling with the main roster full-time. He said there isnt one specific wrestler guiding him backstage, but he credited Matt Bloom for playing a major role in his development during his time at the Performance Center. He also pointed to Ivar of the War Raiders as someone who has offered advice along the way. Despite the increased spotlight that comes with being on WWE television every week, Femi said he doesnt feel any additional pressure performing in front of larger audiences. Instead, he believes sticking to the same approach that helped him dominate in NXT is the key to continuing his success on SmackDown. With early victories piling up and his confidence growing each week, Oba Femi appears determined to prove that his rapid rise on WWEs main roster is just getting started.
