Cody Rhodes may have once said he was done with politics but the WWE star now admits running for office is still something he hasnt completely ruled out. During an appearance on The Brandon Davis Show on March 13, 2026, Rhodes brought up the idea while discussing one of the most common questions he gets during mainstream interviews: naming wrestlings Mount Rushmore. The conversation turned into a funny moment where Rhodes admitted the question is nearly impossible to answer seriously. He explained that he deliberately changes his Mount Rushmore picks every time hes asked because narrowing wrestlings greatest names down to just four doesnt feel right. Rhodes said he can easily name one person who belongs at the top, but putting together a full list is where things get tricky: I can give you my number one. I dont need to give you four. Thats when the American Nightmare casually revealed that politics is still on his radar even while joking about a mistake he once made about the real Mount Rushmore monument. Rhodes previously claimed he had stepped away from political ambitions during a 2023 appearance on Logan Pauls Impaulsive podcast, where he said he no longer wanted to run for President and joked that his neck tattoo might not help his chances. For now, Rhodes remains one of WWEs biggest stars as the company continues building toward WrestleMania 42 but the American Nightmare may still have his eyes on something beyond the wrestling ring.
