Seth Rollins may be back on WWE television, but he still isnt ready to step into the ring for real physical action. During an appearance on Good Morning Football, Rollins revealed that he has not yet been medically cleared for in-ring competition despite returning to WWE programming at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. According to Rollins, he still needs to protect his surgically repaired shoulder for a little while longer before he can fully return to action. Rollins explained that the unusual masked men segment on the March 9 episode of WWE Raw was partly designed to protect him while he continues recovering. In that segment, a group of masked figures flooded the ring and shuffled around to confuse Austin Theory and Logan Paul about which one of them was actually Rollins. The distraction allowed Rollins to appear briefly and then disappear again without taking any physical contact. While discussing the segment, Rollins acknowledged the chaos of having so many masked performers moving around the ring and joked that the group wasnt exactly the most coordinated operation. Rollins said the plan ultimately worked, though, because the group was able to create enough confusion to protect him from getting involved physically. He went on to explain that he still needs more time before he can safely return to full contact in WWE. Rollins also shared what was going through his mind during the segment as the masked group shuffled around the ring, saying he was mostly hoping nothing went wrong during the chaotic scene. Rollins has been recovering since undergoing shoulder surgery in the fall of 2025. The injury occurred during his Crown Jewel Championship match against Cody Rhodes, which ultimately sidelined him for months. Even though he is not yet cleared for physical competition, Rollins has slowly been reintegrated into WWE television as he continues his recovery. Based on his latest comments, it sounds like fans may only have to wait a little longer before the former world champion is fully back in action. Do you think Seth Rollins should return to the ring as soon as hes cleared, or should WWE take extra time with his recovery before putting him back into matches?
