Taking to Twitter on March 12, 2026, Steele revealed that she was released by WWE after competing in an Olympic-style wrestling event during a weekend away from the company. In her post, she explained that the situation escalated quickly once she returned to WWE the following week. Steeles message suggests WWE believed her participation in the event violated the terms of her agreement, as the company typically requires permission before talent competes outside its system. Before this, Steele had been building momentum inside WWE after signing with the company in 2023. She later won the first season of WWE LFG in June 2025, earning herself a contract tied to WWE NXT and becoming one of the more unique prospects in WWEs developmental pipeline. After the reality show victory, Steele appeared on NXT programming and WWE NXT Level Up while also becoming a regular competitor on the WWE Evolve series on Tubi. Her last match for the company took place in February 2026 when she challenged Kendall Grey for the Evolve Womens Championship. Outside the wrestling ring, Steele is known as Tamyra Mensah-Stock the Olympic freestyle wrestler who captured a gold medal at the Tokyo Games in 2020.
