A pair of Norway guard rocks with scarce space between set up a difficult path.Thurston proceeded to perfectly thread the needle between two guard rocks and delivered a gem of a shot, careening off one of Norway's stones in the house ... and on its way, that stone knocked Norway's other stone out as well.''We got a bit of an opening from their previous shot, and the coaches saw a possibility,'' Thurston said afterwards. ''I threw the weight we wanted; the rock ran the way we wanted, and I was just ecstatic to make that shot.''Canada would post six points in the sixth end, ultimately defeating Norway 9-2 in the preliminary round matchup.
