Pat McAfee just addressed his status with WWE and it doesnt sound like a return is happening anytime soon. During a recent Q&A on his Instagram Stories, McAfee responded to a fan asking whether he plans to return to WWE television. The longtime broadcaster, who previously served as a color commentator and occasional in-ring competitor, admitted that the door isnt completely closed but right now it doesnt feel like hes heading back. McAfee then explained that at this point in his life, it feels like the company has moved forward without him. He also took time to acknowledge the experience he had in the company and the chance to work alongside longtime commentator Michael Cole. McAfee has been away from his regular WWE commentary role since June 2025, when he stepped away citing burnout and mental exhaustion tied to his heavy media schedule. Although he made a brief appearance at the WrestlePalooza premium live event in Indianapolis in September 2025, he has not returned to a full-time role since. Outside of WWE, McAfee has remained extremely busy. He continues to host The Pat McAfee Show on ESPN while also serving as an analyst on ESPNs College GameDay broadcast. McAfee previously competed inside the ring as well, facing WWE stars such as Gunther, Austin Theory, and The Miz during his run with the company. For now, it appears McAfee is focused on his broadcasting career, even as fans continue to wonder if hell eventually return to WWE television. Do you think Pat McAfee will eventually return to WWE, or has his run with the company truly come to an end? Let us know your thoughts and feedback. G Add as a preferred source on Google
