The IInspirations first AEW Dynamite match didnt go the way they planned and fans are not happy about it at all. Shortly after the March 4, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite aired, fans flooded Twitter on March 5 with criticism over the booking of Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay. Many felt they deserved a much stronger showing in their first AEW Dynamite match. One fan took to Twitter and called out Tony Khan, suggesting the companys booking of the womens division continues to frustrate viewers especially when it comes to debuting talent. Another fan pointed out that the team barely received any television buildup before being thrown into a match which made the quick defeat even more confusing. Some reactions were even more blunt, with fans questioning why AEW would present the team this way in their first televised appearance: Squash Match for the Inspiration? Really? Is that how theyre going to be used? What a Joke, to be honest. And another fan simply felt the match ended so quickly that it barely felt like a real debut: Boo! Too quick of a match. Bull**** to have those two in a squash match. The controversy came after The IInspiration faced The Brawling Birds on AEW Dynamite this week. Once the bell rang, things unraveled fast. Hayter and Windsor jumped Lee and McKay from behind at the start of the match, kept the pressure on, and wrapped things up moments later after double-teaming Cassie Lee. The quick win gave The Brawling Birds momentum but the fan reaction suggests many expected a much bigger moment for The IInspirations AEW Dynamite debut. Bottom line: AEW might have started a feud, but the way the debut turned out has people talking and not in the way the company probably hoped.
