Speaking during a Self Made Session on March 2, 2026, Self Made Pro revealed that WWE fully intends for IYO SKY to have a major role at WrestleMania 42 and the delayed Giulia match is central to that plan. With Ripley stepping away to focus on her WWE Womens Championship match against Jade Cargill, WWE is now positioning IYO SKY on her own heading into WrestleMania 42. Instead of tying her to tag team fallout, the company is ready to book a match between the two Japanese pro wrestlers on the Grandest Stage of Them All. It also shows that WWE still views SKY as a major star in the womens division as Ripley moves into a main event program. The split isnt leaving IYO behind.
