The story re-surfaced earlier this week with suggestions the Gunners were keen on taking the England international to North London.Gordon has managed just one open play goal and two assists this season in the Premier League but has done much better in Europe he sits behind only Kylian Mbappe in the Champions League goalscoring charts with 10.Speaking ahead of tomorrows home game with Everton, Howe had no intention of fuelling the rumour. He said: In the age were at, there is always rumour and speculation. I dont see probably 90% of it. It comes with the territory of being a top player. You have got to put it out of your brain and focus on the football.I have not seen the story, so it is news to me. It is sort of your [the media] industry creating those stories. I am slightly secluded to it if you dont read it, you dont know who is being linked with who.I think it is irrelevant really it is how the players react to that. I think they will become robust enough to ignore it and concentrate on playing.Newcastle need to regain their rhythm HoweGordon is expected to start against the Toffees and Howe is eager for his side to claim all three points after four defeats in their last five league games. He added: We have got to build our rhythm back at St James Park. Hopefully, now we can build some rhythm and get a good feeling back at our home ground it is really important for us.Everton have done well on their travels this year. Theyre a tough team to beat. Defensively, they have been very strong. Historically, from Davids [Moyes] teams, theyre difficult to score against.Newcastle start the weekend in 11th place. Topics: Arsenal F.C.
