Gable Steveson continues to build momentum outside of WWE, picking up another win in his growing MMA career. The former WWE talent improved to 3-0 with a TKO victory over Hugo Lezama in the main event of MFL 3. While the fight had a brief moment of danger early on, Steveson quickly took control and never looked back. Lezama, who entered the bout with an 11-3 record, connected with a wheel kick to Stevesons head, but it wasnt enough to slow him down. Steveson stayed on his feet, weathered the shot, and went on to dominate the rest of the fight. The finish came with ground-and-pound from the mount, forcing the stoppage. After the win, Steveson made it clear hes still evolving despite the dominant result. The victory adds another chapter to Stevesons athletic career, which has already included major accomplishments in amateur wrestling. The 2020 Olympic gold medalist returned to Minnesota for the 20242025 season, where he suffered a surprising loss to Wyatt Hendrickson in the NCAA National Championship finals. Even with that setback, his resume remains stacked, including two NCAA national championships, two Dan Hodge Trophy wins, and five All-American honors. Steveson has also been sharpening his MMA skills alongside top-tier talent, working as a training partner for Jon Jones ahead of his fight with Stipe Miocic, and continuing to train with Jones and coach Greg Jackson. His WWE run from 2021 to 2024 never fully materialized, with just one televised match, but his transition into MMA is clearly gaining traction with each outing. Now sitting at 3-0, Steveson is starting to show real promise in a new arena and performances like this suggest hes only getting started.
