Kris Statlander wont be stepping back into the ring just yet. During the February 18, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW confirmed that Statlander is not medically cleared to compete following her brutal strap match against Thekla last week. The announcement came during a backstage segment, where it was revealed she will be sidelined for at least a couple of weeks. The injury update follows Statlanders loss in the strap match, where she not only came up short against Thekla but also lost the AEW Womens Championship in the process. Statlander appeared on Dynamite and made it clear her mindset wasnt about technical wrestling it was personal. She explained that she didnt want to wrestle Thekla she wanted to fight her.
