According to the announcement, the match comes on the heels of Moxley retaining his championship at Grand Slam Australia. Now, hell face Davis, who is seeking payback after Moxley previously interfered in his tag team title opportunity. The official announcement reads: An eliminator match means that if Davis scores an upset victory over Moxley, he would earn a future AEW Continental Championship match.
